Only one of eight Hawley property sales carries a recorded price so far

HAWLEY -- Eight property transfers were recorded in Hawley between Sept. 11 and Oct. 10, but only one carried a sale price in the registry as of this report, continuing the typical lag between recording and price disclosure.

MARKET OVERVIEW Eight sales were recorded in Hawley during the period. Of those, one carried a sale price: $99,500, recorded Sept. 15 for 26 East Rd. The remaining seven show price not yet available. With only one of eight transfers priced, a price range and median cannot yet be calculated for the period as a whole; the data reflects only transaction count at this time, not market value. NEIGHBORHOOD BREAKDOWN Middle Rd saw three separate transfers this period, more than any other street: 25 Middle Rd, 38 Middle Rd and 92 Middle Rd. East Hawley Rd, Pudding Hollow Rd, East Rd and Plainfield Rd each had one recorded transfer, along with one additional parcel listed without a street address.

MARKET NOTES Two of the eight transfers involved a bank as seller: T Bank at 25 Middle Rd and PeoplesBank at 324 East Hawley Rd. One transfer, 92 Middle Rd, moved from the Leslie E. Clark Revocable Trust to Leslie E. Clark individually, the same name on both sides of the deed. A second, 73 Pudding Hollow Rd, moved from the Kathryn S. Sternstein Trust to a different buyer, Adria S. Foster.
