MONTAGUE -- Ten property transfers were recorded in Montague's Franklin County Registry of Deeds between Sept. 25 and Oct. 24, with recorded prices ranging from $10,955 to $372,000. More than half of the listed buyers were banks, credit unions or mortgage-related entities rather than individual purchasers.

MARKET OVERVIEW Ten sales were recorded in the four-week period. Seven of the 10 carried a recorded price, ranging from $10,955 to $372,000, with a median of $30,000. Three transfers, at 2 Griswold St., 808 Fairway Ave. and 240 Federal St., have no price listed yet, which is typical for recently filed deeds and usually resolves within about a week. Based on the raw count alone, 10 recorded transfers over four weeks is a modest level of activity; the data available does not permit comparison with prior months.
