Greenfield Home Prices Range From $40,000 To $217,000 In September Sales

GREENFIELD -- Eleven properties changed hands in Greenfield between Sept. 11 and Oct. 10, but only five carried a recorded sale price in Franklin County Registry of Deeds data as of this writing. The other six are still awaiting price information, which typically appears in registry records within about a week of recording.

MARKET OVERVIEW Among the five sales with a recorded price, figures ranged from $40,000 to $217,000, with a median of $180,000. The remaining six transfers, more than half of this period's total, show no price yet in the data. With just five of 11 recorded sales priced so far, the raw count alone does not indicate whether the period was especially active or quiet; a fuller read on volume and pricing will depend on the prices still to post.

TOP SALES 8 Osgood St. sold for $217,000 on Sept. 11, the period's highest recorded price. Amy McMahan sold the property to HomeXpress Mortgage Corp. and Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc.

7 Cooke St. sold for $187,000 on Sept. 15. Kimberly A. Norwood and Kaitlyn M. Norwood sold the property to the USA Rural Housing Service and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

48 Peabody Lane sold for $180,000 on Sept. 11. Alistair N. Shurman and Elizabeth M.A. Shurman sold the property to Alistair N. Shurman.

68 Overland Road sold for $75,000 on Sept. 14. Tony W. Bardwell and Alecia Bardwell sold the property to Franklin First Federal Credit Union and Greylock Federal Credit Union.

128 Elm St. sold for $40,000 on Sept. 14. Michael J. Hart and Susan E. Pease sold the property to UMassFive College Federal Credit Union.
