Other Committee · Meeting of October 13, 2026
Greenfield's council committee chairs quietly teed up a councilor absence disclosure and delayed a key vote. Meeting with only three of five members present, the panel, led by Council President Wondolowski, agreed to add formal disclosure of Councilor Minhas's unexcused absences for fiscal year 2026 to the council's new-business agenda. Members also discussed honoring retiring Precinct 7 Councilor Kate Broughton with a letter or certificate, after Wondolowski said a drafted resolution felt "a little bit highfalutin." Two zoning amendments, covering water supply protection and accessory residential structures, were referred to subcommittee, with hearings expected in early November and a full council vote not likely before December.
The committee also agreed to keep this month's public hearing on a gender identity protection ordinance but delay the full council vote to November due to a member's scheduling conflict. The meeting ended with a unanimous voice vote to adjourn at 6:35 p.m.
