Greenfield School Committee Creates Long-Term Facilities Advisory Panel, Signs GEA Agreement

GREENFIELD — April 8, 2026 — Greenfield School Committee votes to create a long-term facilities advisory panel and advances Chapter 70 advocacy at April 8 meeting. The six-member committee, sitting without Mayor DeSorger who was ill, voted 5-0 with one abstention to establish a Long-Term Facilities Use Advisory Committee with a May 2027 deadline for recommendations on building use, potential regionalization, and school reconfiguration; Chair Sexton, Member Deitman, and Secretary Webb are named as the school committee's three representatives, with roughly 10 public members to be added through an open application process.
