Greenfield licensing board approves slate of spring event permits

Greenfield's licensing board cleared a dozen-plus permits in one sitting, from an expanded Bee Fest to a fireworks fundraiser liquor license. Acting Chairperson Phil Karnett presided as the board unanimously approved a vendor license for the Greenfield Business Association's Bee Fest Pollinator Picnic, adding Energy Park to the free May 16 festival. Members also licensed Joshua Breitner's Cocina Lupita food truck for Court Square and approved Stone Soup Cafe's 15th anniversary event on the common, where staffer Sarah Hillier said the free celebration could draw more than 150 people.

Attorney Dawson Cooper won approval for a Circle K ownership restructuring, telling the board "you probably wouldn't notice" any operational change. The board tabled two applications from Trackside Eatery's proposed 192 Main Street restaurant for lack of a representative, and approved a one-day liquor license for Josh Malovin's Incandescent Brewing Company at a Recreation Department fireworks fundraiser.
