Greenfield Cultural Council elects officers, orders new survey
Cultural Council · Meeting of April 7, 2026
Greenfield Cultural Council reelects Tim Fisk as chair, scraps old survey for a fresh one. The six-member council unanimously named Bella Levavi co-chair, Marcel LaFlamme secretary and Ed Mousse Jr. treasurer after welcoming new members Mousse and Mo Schweiger. LaFlamme said the council's 2024 local guidelines "made the selection process just so much more streamlined" compared with earlier years, when awards sometimes ran as low as $50.
The council fielded roughly 88 to 89 grant applications last cycle, cutting about 20 for lacking a Greenfield connection. Members formed a Survey Committee and an Annual Report and Event Committee, and agreed to press the Senior Center and library on why artists still apply individually, often for $250 grants, calling the council "de facto curators" of programming at both venues.
