Greenfield Committee Chairs Routes Labor Contracts, Liquor License to July Subcommittee Meetings
Other Committee · Meeting of July 7, 2026
Greenfield's City Council Committee Chairs meeting sorted more than a dozen pending items into the July committee and full council pipeline in a 28-minute session Monday. Council President Wondolowski, joined by Councilors Bullock and Brown — Councilors Garrett and Golub were absent — routed a memorandum of understanding for central maintenance employees directly to the July 15 full council meeting after staff confirmed its three-year contract costs were already built into the adopted budget. A licensing commission endorsement for a liquor license for Gleason Ventures, doing business as Bears Den Bar, was sent to the Economic Development Committee on July 14 before the full council on July 15.
Financial items heading to Ways and Means the same evening included a $100,000 borrowing authorization and a separate $100,000 capital stabilization appropriation for Coet Seat Tower repairs, a $322,000 FY2027 Community Preservation Committee operations appropriation, a $600,000 capital budget correction for the INI system, and an appropriation not to exceed $75,000 to engage Clifton Larsen Allen LLP for a fiscal year 2025 cash reconciliation. City Clerk staff also reported that AI-assisted minute-taking is not currently permissible under open meeting law, and that council agendas will shift to Monday postings to comply with the 48-hour notice requirement, effective this month.
