Greenfield assessors near a signed fiscal 2027 revaluation contract as rental registry duties shift to health department. Board members Charles Green, Jeremy Ebersole and Jim Geisman met March 18 and heard the town assessor report the vendor agreed to lower pricing to fit the finance director's budget, calling it "actually kind of cool." The board also learned a rental registry proposed by Councilor Garrett will likely land with the health department, with the assessor's office possibly handling fine billing, a conversation the assessor called "very, very productive." Separately, the board's new elderly and disabled tax relief fund has raised about $2,500 from three or four donors. The board approved prior minutes and motor vehicle excise abatements by voice vote before entering executive session to discuss real estate matters, abatement appeals and personal exemption applications.
