Senior Housing Panel Revises CPA Funding Bid
Other Committee · Meeting of September 16, 2026
Deerfield senior housing panel refiles rejected CPA application under housing category. The Ad Hoc Senior Housing Committee said a Community Preservation Act bid to archive the former St. James building was denied because it proposed generating new records rather than preserving existing ones; member Lili Dwight said "it was 100 percent my fault" for how it was framed.
The Select Board voted to open negotiations with a group identified as RDI. Blake Gilmore said the committee needs "a definitive budget by the November deadline," and Carolyn Ness will help redraft the CPA filing for review at the panel's September 30 meeting. Members voted 4-0 to approve minutes and 4-0 to adjourn at 5:15 p.m.
