Greenfield Board of Assessors approves motor vehicle excise abatements and backs interactive parcel map effort. The board, composed of Chair Chuck Green, Jeremy Embersolo, and Jim Geisman, voted unanimously at its June 17 meeting to support Green's push to secure budget funding for an interactive CAI Technologies parcel map for fiscal year 2027 that would give the public instant access to abutter lists and neighborhood boundaries — a product Green said would also address a longstanding Department of Revenue requirement for neighborhood maps. A resident named Jonathan used the public comment period to challenge Green directly, reading from a campaign flyer in which Green pledged "an office culture of service for residents of Greenfield" and demanding, for what he described as the sixth or seventh time, the revised property valuation behind an overvaluation abatement that generated a $544 refund certificate issued April 15.

The board also reported that exemption renewal forms may go out slightly late due to a paper supply problem, and agreed to insert a notice directing residents to a future in-person help session at the John Zon Community Center; the next regular meeting is July 1.
