Deerfield Board Approves Liquor Transfers, Sells Barn Parcel, Raises Power Rate

DEERFIELD — February 11, 2026 — Deerfield Select Board approves liquor transfers for Magic Wings and Tavern Sports Bar, sells surplus barn parcel above appraisal, and raises community power rates mid-contract. The board voted 3-0 at its February 11 joint meeting to transfer the on-premises all-alcoholic beverages license at 281 Greenfield Road to Magic Events, LLC, under new owner Victoria Tubbs, and unanimously approved a full suite of ABCC transactions for the Tavern Sports Bar at 2C Elm Street, where Missy Clark is purchasing a 50 percent stake from Robert Petruzzi. A unanimous vote conveyed a surplus land parcel to Horafil Americas, Inc. at above-appraised value, with Chair Trevor D. McDaniel crediting staff member Alex Galloway for completing the deal. A rate amendment with First Point Power LLC, raising retail aggregation prices by $0.0116 per kilowatt hour — roughly $7 on an average bill — passed 2-1 after member Blake Gilmore objected, saying he would "let the lawyers work this out."
